There are many different variants of poker. For example, a game where five or fewer players can participate may be played as Three-Card Monte. Limits on the number of chips each player can play with are usually two, five, or ten. This limit varies depending on the stage of the game. In the beginning of the game, there are betting intervals where a player may only bet up to two chips, and the final betting interval, where a player must use ten chips.
